The Jel Sert Company is issuing a voluntary recall for 52 cases of Margaritaville Banana Cream Pie Filling.
The supplier of the banana chips used in the filling notified Jel Sert of possible Salmonella contamination and the recall was issued out of an abundance of caution.
No illnesses have been reported to date, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The pie filling was not available to consumers on store shelves, only through sales samples and gift packages.
