Going to the mountains? Why drive on I-70 when you can fly over it – for free!

DENVER – You’ve been there: You’re out partying Friday night but you have to leave early because you’re going skiing over the weekend, and you have to leave by 4:30 a.m. the next day at the latest in order to beat that mountain traffic.

After shredding snow for about seven or eight hours, it’s time to head home and a creeping thought suddenly surfaces: “Oh, dang it! I-70 is going to be a nightmare coming back.”

Spoiler alert: It usually is.

Which is why Breckenridge Brewery wants you to have a weekend in Breck without the thought of dreaded mountain traffic passing through your head.

The brewing company is treating two people for a sweet ski weekend including accommodation, lift tickets and meal comps from April 12-14, but instead of making you go on I-70 to get there, they’ll make sure you go over it – that’s right: they’ll fly you there.

But as the old saying goes, “there’s no such thing as a free lunch” – or in this case, a free beer with that lunch – and you’ll have to create some social media magic to win this contest.

Here’s what you have to do:

Post a photo on Instagram or Twitter showing Breckenridge Brewery how you feel when you’re stuck in I-70 traffic. Get creative with it, but make sure it’s legal (i.e. don’t do it while driving).

Once you’re done, post it and make sure to include the hashtags “#Fli70” and “Sweepstakes.”

Make sure your profile is public and that you’re sure the photo your entering is the one you’ll use for the contest, as there’s only one entry per person.

The contest runs through March 29 and the winner will be contacted by the brewery through DM either on Twitter or Facebook before 5 p.m. that day. You must be 21 or older to participate. For full rules and regulations, click here.
