1. Denver Chalk Art Festival

What: The art you'll find at the Denver Chalk Art Festival isn't in white room galleries – it’s on the floor! The event features more than 200 professional and amateur artists who will spend hours on the floor over the course of two days to bring their art to Larimer Square.

When:  Saturday, June 3 from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.; Sunday, June 4 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

2. Arvada Trails Day

What: The 15th annual Arvada Trails Day includes a number of events at Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge. Featured are trail walks, a 5-mile family-friend bike ride, nature exhibits, kids activities and more.

5. Hammond Candies Factory Tour

What: Did you know that you can take a free tour of Colorado’s very own Hammond’s Candy Factory?  Tours run every half-hour Monday through Saturday.  Watch candy makers as they hand-pull and twist oversize candy canes, ribbon candy, lollipops and chocolate.  It’s educational fun for candy lovers of all ages.  And bonus, every tour guest gets a free candy sample.

7. Coors Brewery Tours

What: Coors has been making beer in Golden, Colo., since the 1870s. The brewery experience includes a 30-minute self-paced tour highlighting the malting, brewing and packaging processes.
