DENVER – One of Denver’s most iconic restaurants is back in business after a fire forced it to close its doors back in November.
Here are 7 reasons why you should care about the Cherry Cricket reopening its doors to customers:
1.) On Tuesday, the restaurant served complementary cake and champagne (champagne!) throughout the day to customers who went to the ribbon cutting ceremony.
2.) The restaurant, along with firefighters, held a food drive on Wednesday to support Metro Caring. Anyone who brought three or more canned food items received a basket of fries.
3.) That same day, the firefighters who helped the Cherry Cricket during the fire gave tours of their fire trucks to everyone who attended that day.
4.) Cherry Cricket staff honored “the three brave fish who lost their lives in the fire,” by holding a funeral late Thursday afternoon. Bagpipe musicians and dancers led the procession to pay respects for the fish killed in the flames.
5.) The infamous Broncos tailgating bus will be parked out front for guests to take tours and get a glimpse of the “Best Tailgate” trophy. You can use the hashtag #cherrycricketisopen to share your photos on social media.
6.) Cherry Cricket will be handing out Easter candy and anyone lucky enough to find a golden egg will get Easter lunch on the house.
7.) Cherry Cricket has been featured on Man V. Food and Best Thing I Ever Ate, according to the restaurant’s website.
