1. Denver Travel, Design & Food Festival

What: Come and plan your next vacation and adventure, explore local and far away destinations! Make your home more beautiful as you meet with Denver’s home-design professionals or simply come for a taste of Colorado’s home-made food creations from local scratch-food entrepreneurs at the Denver, Travel, Design & Food Festival this weekend at the National Western Complex!

2. Denver Golf Expo

What: Golf aficionados, rejoice! More than 12,000 golfers, duffers, exhibitors and presenters will take part in Denver’s annual Golf Expo this weekend. There will be free golf lessons, challenges and more.

When: Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 9.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

3. Snowboard for free at the Ruby Hill Rail Yard

What: Let’s be honest, many of us can’t afford the ski resort passes, the gear, the classes and the gas to get to the Colorado High Country to enjoy some fresh powder. Fortunately for us, there’s a solution to our woes and it’s located right here in Denver! The Ruby Hill Rail Yard is operated by Winter Park Resort and maintained by volunteers. Helmets are strongly encouraged.

4. Enjoy a free day at the Longmont Museum

5. Loveland’s Fire & Ice Festival

What: An annual tradition in the City of Loveland, the annual Fire & Ice Festival features a light show with fireworks, snow and ice sculptures, live music, a car show, carriage rides, and much more.

Where: Downtown Loveland, 4th Street and N. Railroad Avenue in Loveland, Colo.

6. Enjoy at free day at CU’s Museum of Natural History

What: The University of Colorado Boulder Museum of Natural History is hosting a free day for families this Saturday. Current exhibits include Curios Connections in Nature, the Discovery Corner and Cannabis: A visual perspective.

7. Ice skate at Skyline Park on the 16th St. Mall

What: Ice skate, fall, get up and repeat! Across from the Christkindl Market, you’ll find downtown Denver’s annual ice skating rink, so bring the whole family or that special someone for a fun night! Skate rentals are $8 ($6 for children 12 and under). If you bring your own skates, you get in free. There will be free days specifically for children.

When: Nov. 21, 2017 through Feb. 14, 2018

Admission: $8 for skates, but free if you bring your own.
