1. Denver Arts Festival

What: More than 100 of Colorado’s best artists will be showcasing their work for all to see. Media include sculpture, photography, fiber arts, mixed media, ceramics, jewelry, woodworking and painting.

When: Saturday, May 27 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sunday, May 28 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

2. Boulder Creek Festival

What: The Boulder Creek Festival, an annual Memorial Day weekend tradition begins with a Dead Phish Orchestra concert and ends with Paa kow performing. Nine event areas will host 500 vendors showcasing their work as well as carnival rides, fishing derby, food and drinks.

When:  Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28 from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m

3. Star Wars Live Artist Event

What: The Incredible Art Gallery in downtown Denver will be hosting at Star Wars Live Artist event featuring artist Christopher Clark.

When: Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28 from 12 p.m. – 7 p.m.

4. 88 Drive-In Theater: Triple-Feature

What: If you long for the days of the drive-in movie theater experience, you don’t have to look very far. 88 Drive-In Theater is the only drive-in theater left in the Denver metro area still showing movies. Click here for the current line-up.

5. ‘Colorado Remembers’ Ceremony & Concert at Colorado Freedom Memorial

What:  On May 27, soil from the gravesites of many of our heroes laid to rest in eight countries, will be solemnly interred at the Colorado Freedom Memorial, symbolizing their return to the home they left so many years ago.

When: Saturday, May 27 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

6. Denver Day of Rock

What: Five stages, 25 bands and a full day of rock is what awaits Denverites at Denver’s Day of Rock. The best part? It benefits the work of Amp the Cause. Stages are located at Curtis, Champa, Welton and Skyline Park.

When: Saturday, May 27 from 2:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

7. Odesza at Red Rocks

What: Odesza, the American electronic music duo from Seattle is coming to Colorado for two nights this Memorial Day weekend.

The group has been known to use an indie approach to their music by using instruments such as drums, drum machines and a college drumline at one point!

When: Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28 at 6:30 p.m.

Where: Red Rocks Amphitheater
