1. Denver Art Market

What: Funded by artists for artists, the Denver Art Market – or Denarket – offers local artists the chance to sell their work and receive exposure form the community two times a month. Over 25 local artists with a variety of styles and products.

2. Rocky Mountain Bead Bazaar

What: Come shop at the Rocky Mountain Bead Bazaar! Over 60 vendors will be available for all your beading needs. Did we mention beading classes are also available?

3. Colorado Exotic Pet Expo

What: Colorado’s premier exotic pet expo is here for the weekend. There will be education seminars and knowledgeable vendors to help you in your search for a new family friend> There will also be free face painting and balloon animals for the little ones.

Where: The Double Three Thornton Hotel / The Castles Event Center, 83 East 120th Avenue in Thornton, Colo.

When: Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission: $10 for adults, $5 for kids 6 through 16 and under anyone under 5-years-old gets in free.

4. Independent Bookstore Day 2018

What: Bookstores across the nation will be participating in Independent Bookstore Day, a country-wide celebration of books and independent bookstores. Metro area Tattered Cover Book Stores will have exclusive, limited edition products, events, activities, giveaways and more.

5. Yoga with Cats in Lakewood

What: Bring your mat, your cat and your chakras aligned for an afternoon of feline yoga in Lakewood. Hosted by the Cat Care Society. Space is limited, so make your reservation by emailing sscott@catcaresociety.org.

6. Second annual Chalk Walk in Sterling

What: The second annual Chalk Walk in downtown Sterling is taking place this weekend! Professional artists and students will begin chalking at 11:30 a.m. with the exhibit opening to the public at 1 p.m. It’s recommended that you start the walk at Sterling Creatives and make your way through downtown.

7. Marvel night at the 88 Drive In Theatre

What: Haven’t found tickets to Avengers: Infinity War? The 88 Drive In Theatre in Commerce City is showing not only the latest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), but the movie that came before it – Black Panther – along with Super Troopers 2 this Saturday and Sunday. Black Panther starts at 8 p.m.; Avengers: Infinity War starts at 10:15 p.m. and Super Troopers begins at 12:45 am.  

Where: 88 Drive In Theatre, 8780 Rosemary Street in Commerce City, Colo.

When:  Saturday, April 28, 2018 starting at 6 p.m.; Sunday, April 29, 2018 starting at 7 p.m.
