1. Drive north and head to Trapper Days in Fort Lupton
What: Want to be part of a long-standing tradition? Head north to Fort Lupton for live music, food, a quilt show, historical demonstrations, the Trapper Days Parade, live fire demonstrations, and much more.

2. Get in the Celtic spirit at the Long’s Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival
What: The Estes Park's Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival is the largest gathering of its kind between the Mississippi River and California, and traditionally hosts bands - from the marching kind to the rocking kind and everything in-between - hailing from Great Britain, Scotland, Ireland, Canada and, of course, the United States. Enjoy jousting knights, dancing girls, hoisting athletes, bagpipe performances and dog agility competitions as well as races.

What: Burning Man who?! Head over to Garfield County for the Burning Mountain Festival in New Castle. There will be live music, a parade, a pie eating contest, the world-famous Westernaires, a bouncy house, bungee run, face painting and more.

What: One of the Denver Art Museum's (DAM) longest-running events, the 30th Annual Friendship Powwow and American Indian Cultural Celebration will feature American Indian dancers, drum groups, artist booths, and more. The museum is also free of charge (except for special exhibitions) this Saturday.
