1. Get lost in the wonder of Zoo Lights at the Denver Zoo
What: The Rocky Mountain region’s largest holiday lighting event is coming back for the 28th year to the Mile High City. Brighter than ever, the Denver Zoo's "Zoo Lights" will showcase more than two million lights spread over 70 acres of land.
Where: Denver Zoo, 2300 Steele St. in Denver
When: November 30, 2018 through January 6, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Admission: $20 for non-members; $15 for members. There are also special discount nights, with $3 off regular ticket admission.

2. Enjoy the magic of the holidays at the Denver Parade of Lights
What: If you're ready to ring in the holiday season in Denver, what better way than to head downtown and take part in the Denver Parade of Lights? The magical event will feature more than 40 entries including extravagantly illuminated floats, giant helium-filled character balloons, extraordinary marching bands, traditional equestrian units and vibrant cultural demonstrations. Make sure to arrive early so you can get a good spot to see Santa!

When: Friday, Nov. 30 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.; and Saturday, Dec. 1 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

3. Ring in the holiday season across the Front Range and beyond!
What: So you're not in Denver but still want to take part in the joy of the holiday season? You won't have to come here to witness it all: Gunnison, Leadville, Grand Junction, Colorado Springs and Boulder are all having lighting ceremonies this weekend!

4. Celebrate the arrival of the Christmas season in Golden with the citys' Candlelight Walk and Parade
What: Golden's gorgeous Candlelight Walk happens Friday evening, marking the start of Olde Golden Christmas festivities in Golden. On Saturday, the first of three Saturday parades will march down Washington Avenue - Golden's Main Street. There are free horse drawn carriages, free Newfoundland-dog pulled cart rides for kids, chestnut roasting on an open fire, and much more!

5. Head over to Frisco for the Wassail Days holiday celebration this weekend!
What: Frisco’s Wassail Days were founded on the notion that throwing out the welcome mat during the winter holidays means that you offer everyone a special treat, wassail. Wassail is hot spiced cider, and over the years Frisco businesses have perfected this drink and in 2017 collectively served over 21,000 free tastes of wassail.

7. Four Seasons Farmers and Artisans Market
What: Farmers’ Markets are generally known to be open for a very limited amount of time in the fall, but that’s not the case for Four Seasons Farmers and Artisans Market in Wheat Ridge, which is open year-round. Come and show for produce, honey, jams and jellies, as well as alpaca wool products, paintings, jewelry and more.
