1. So you've seen "Coco," but do you really know about the Day of the Dead? Come learn about the day's history at the Dia de Los Muertos Festival

What: "Dia de los Muertos" is a celebration of the Mexican holiday Day of the Dead, which focuses on the coming together of family and friends to remember loved ones who have passed away. Join The Center for this inter-generational celebration of life accompanied by traditional food, art and music.

Where: The Center, 1301 E. Colfax Ave. in Denver

When: Saturday, Oct. 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

2. The Colorado Symphony presents: Halloween Spooktacular!

What: It’s a spooktacular event for all boys and ghouls! This family-favorite concert features music from the Harry Potter™ films and more! Costumes are encouraged — the best of the bunch will be invited to show off their creations on stage for the whole crowd! It’s a goulish-good time for every little monster and their mummy!

Where: Boettcher Concert Hall at the Denver Performing Arts Complex, 1000 14th St. in Denver. 

When: Sunday, Oct. 28 starting at 2:30 p.m.

Admission: $10 for children, $27 for adults

3. Go trick-or-treating at Broncos Stadium at Mile High! 

What: Stop by the Broncos Stadium at Mile High for a day of Trick-or-Treat fun! Participants will have an opportunity to trick-or-treat throughout the rooms of the stadium. There will be photograph opportunities with Miles the Mascot and Denver Broncos Cheerleaders. 

Where: Broncos Stadium at Mile High, 1701 Bryant St. in Denver

When: Saturday, Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Session 1 is from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.; Session 2 is from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Session 3 is from 1:15 p.m. to 3 p.m.

4. Haunts of Littleton

What: The 16th annual Haunts of Littleton walking tour takes place this weekend. The city invites you on a night time journey through Littleton's dark streets and alleys while a guide tour uncovers the scary — and often times, haunted — past of this quiet Colorado community.

Where: Downtown Littleton light rail

When: Friday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Oct. 27 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Admission: $15 for adults, $8 for children (basically, anyone under 18 years of age).

5. All aboard the Trick-or-Treat train in Golden

What: The Railroad Halloween Town is a safe place to enjoy Trick or Treating. Catch a ride behind a historic Denver & Rio Grande Steam Locomotive in vintage passenger cars hosted by conductors and engineers in full costume, including the “not so spooky” Haunted Railcar and the Olde Railroaders Silly Graveyard. Enjoy local food, kettle corn, shaved ice and even get your face painted. Finally, get a great picture of your costume as you pose in front of our Pumpkin Patch cart.

When: Saturday, Oct. 27 and Sunday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
