DENVER – Memorial Day is a day to remember those who fought for our country and the freedoms we enjoy. You probably also have the day off work. So what should you do?

Here’s what the City of Denver will be doing this coming Monday:

1. Memorial Day Festival on South Gaylord Street

The South Gaylord Street Festival Series is hosting the 39th Annual Memorial Weekend Festival to kick off the summer season in Denver. Enjoy three days of great family-friendly entertainment, foods, vendors and so much more.

It’s all taking place at 1059 S. Gaylord Street. Admission is free.

2. Boulder Creek Festival

Widely considered Boulder County’s favorite event, the Boulder Creek Festival kicks off the unofficial start of summer in Boulder County.

There will be nine separate areas featuring 500 vendors showcasing everything from arts and crafts to the newest tech in the market. Three performance stages will also feature a wide variety of music and dance.

It’s all taking place at the Boulder Bandshell, 1212 Canyon Blvd. In Boulder, Colo. The event goes from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

3. Cool off in one of Colorado’s water parks

Even before Memorial Day arrives, you’ll have the chance to enjoy not just three of the most well-known Colorado water parks in the Denver metro, but a whole variety of pools, “beaches” and much more.
