The Duchess of Cambridge was both posh and pinch-proof on her recent visit to Ireland. Kate Middleton, who is visiting the Emerald Isle with her husband Prince William, showed that you don’t need to be Irish to embrace shamrock hues.

Middleton wore head-to-toe shades of green, including an Alessandra Rich dress and a forest green Catherine Walker coat. She finished the look with a pair of green pumps, a green velvet headband and a soft velvet clutch.

Even in this photo, in which Middleton is deboarding the plane in Ireland, she cuts an elegant — and rather verdant — figure.

Catherine Walker is one of Middleton’s favorite designers, and the Duchess has often donned Walker’s designs in the past, including in March 2018, when a then-pregnant Middleton wore a dark-green coat to visit the First Battalion Irish Guards in Hounslow.

The Kensington Palace royals’ official social media account shared a video of Kate Middleton and Prince William meeting the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, and his wife Sabina:

They also enjoyed a traditional Irish tea with President and Mrs. Higgins at the official presidential residence in Dublin on Tuesday, March 3. In the photos from that event, Middleton’s lovely green dress can be seen more vividly.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are taking a short tour of Ireland, spending time in County Meath, County Kildare and Galway.

As part of the trip, the royal couple paid tribute to the Irish men and women who lost their lives in the valiant fight for freedom from British rule. It was a somber moment that was captured on the Kensington Palace’s social media page:

In addition, the royal couple visited Jigsaw, a mental health charity located in Dublin.

The couple also spent time at Teagasc Research Farm, a program that seeks to make sustainable farming practices a reality across Ireland. The parents of three met with elementary school children at the farm to hear more about nutrition, farming and food production.

The pair also took two young children on a shopping trip to a local supermarket to help demonstrate how to shop for healthy foods while on a tight budget. Middleton and her husband may be royalty, but they showed children Simon and Molly how to buy ingredients for vegetable soup while on a limited income.

Of course, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also stopped to savor a pint of Guinness during their visit, enjoying Ireland’s most famous export at the iconic Guinness Storehouse.

According to The Daily Mail, Prince William toasted the crowd in Gaelic, and he joked about how his grandmother had visited the very same location back in 2011.

“Ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you it is not often that I find myself following the Queen to a pub,” he quipped.
