If you’ve been to a grocery store lately, chances are you’ve noticed many items are out of stock — or at least running pretty low — due to the coronavirus pandemic. Some items may even have limits on them, like bread, meat, eggs and, of course, toilet paper.

If you’ve been unable to find bread at your local store or want more to freeze for future use, Jimmy John’s is now selling their freshly-baked French bread nationwide during this unprecedented time.

“Jimmy John’s wants to help our neighbors across the country by making it easier to get daily necessities like freshly-baked bread,” Darin Dugan, chief marketing officer for Jimmy John’s, said in a press release. “Available across the country immediately, we will be offering Freaky Fresh Bread on Demand: freshly baked bread delivered to our guests any way they want it —  curbside pickup, drive-thru, or contactless delivery to their door.”

To order a 16-inch loaf of bread for drive-thru, curbside pick-up or contactless delivery, simply ask for them at the drive-thru or add them to your order via Jimmy John’s app or website.

Each loaf costs around $2 depending on the location. While there is no limit to the number of loaves you can add to your order, Jimmy John’s asks that you just buy what you need for your family so supplies are available to as many as possible.

Jimmy John's

If you don’t have a Jimmy John’s near you or would rather simply make your own bread at home, it’s actually not as complicated as it may seem.

This easy bread recipe from Butter With a Side of Bread uses just six ingredients, most of which you likely have at home already, like water, sugar, salt and flour. You do not need a bread machine for this recipe, but will need some bread loaf pans.

If you’re watching your carbs or are gluten-free, you could instead try this cloud bread, which calls for just three egg yolks, cream cheese, a little honey and some baking powder.
