While it’s no secret that you can get some pretty great deals on Black Friday every year, if you’re willing to head out on Thanksgiving Day, you can score even more. JCPenney is handing out perhaps the best deal of the year to those who don’t mind standing in line and giving up part of their Thanksgiving celebration at home — free money!

On Thanksgiving Day, the retailer will be handing out coupons worth $10 off a $10 purchase, $100 off a $100 purchase or $500 off a $500 purchase. So, simply waiting in line will give you a chance to get either $10, $100 or $500 worth of merchandise for free!

Doors open at 2 p.m., but the coupons will be handed out before then, so you’ll need to be in line. You’ll probably want to get there pretty early for the best chance of getting a coupon, because they’re limited to one per person and are only available while supplies last.

The coupons are only good on select in-store items and valid Nov. 28-30, so if you get one, you’ll have to do your shopping either that day or within the next few days. There will be at least 101 coupons per store, with 99 of them being for $10. One coupon will be for $100 and each store will have at least one $500 coupon. Your odds of getting a coupon depend on how many people are in line and, of course, your place in line.

The retailer’s Black Friday sales begin online the day before Thanksgiving, on Nov. 27, so there will still be other deals available for anyone who would rather shop from the comfort of home.

JCPenney’s Black Friday ad has a full 72 pages of deals, including everything from jewelry and clothing to small kitchen appliances like toasters, waffle makers, slow cookers and more for just $7.99 after mail-in rebates.

Will you be heading to your local JCPenney on Thanksgiving for your chance to score $10, $100 or $500? Just make sure someone at home saves you some turkey!
