Hallmark Channel Is Now Airing Christmas Movies All Year Long

Back in March, in an effort to provide some comfort to those who were cooped up inside during the coronavirus pandemic, Hallmark Channel devoted a weekend to airing a special Christmas movie marathon.

The off-season marathon weekend of feel-good holiday movies must have been a hit, because now the channel has announced that it will air Christmas movies year-round. Every Thursday and Friday throughout the year — whether or not the weather outside is frightful — you can cozy up with a holiday movie, courtesy of Hallmark.

On Thursday nights, the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel will air one cheesy holiday flick, and Friday nights will find us tuning in to the Hallmark Channel to get our fix of Yuletide warm-and-fuzzies.

Here’s the best news: The Thursday-Friday Christmas movie nights are starting right away. This week will kick off the year-round holiday films with “A Merry Christmas Match” airing on June 11 at 9 p.m. ET on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

June 12 on the Hallmark Channel brings us “The Mistletoe Secret” at 8 p.m. ET, which stars Kellie Pickler, Tyler Hynes and Patrick Duffy. Check out this list of other holiday titles you can expect to see in June.

Hallmark’s Christmas movies are known for their lighthearted and uplifting tone — and they always feature a happy ending. They can provide a brief respite from all the intense challenges facing our nation these days.

If it’s already way too hot where you live, just crank up the air conditioning, break out the cozy blankets and hot cocoa and pretend like you’re living in a winter wonderland.

If you want to take the fun to the next level during your next holiday movie viewing, consider playing this Hallmark Christmas movie drinking game. It pokes fun at all the cheesy conventions of the movies, like characters with Yuletide-themed names like Nick and Holly and the prevalence of snowball fights and ice skating.

Do you look forward to finding a little cheer and goodwill in the Hallmark holiday movies every Thursday and Friday night?
