While some people look forward to the summer because it means beach trips and soaking up some sun, I enjoy the season for one reason: frozen margaritas!

Sure, you can have a margarita year-round, but there is something special about the ice-cold treat when you’re spending time outside in the warm sunshine. While I am A-OK with a simple lime margarita, I am always on a mission for new recipes, especially if they have ingredients you don’t normally find mixed with tequila.

That’s why this habanero peach margarita recipe from Torani is definitely getting added to my must-try list. Along with tequila and lime juice, you’ll also need Grand Mariner, Torani Puremade Peach Syrup and yes, a habanero pepper! If you want to give this drink even more kick, you can also substitute a traditional salted rim for a chili-salted rim.

Here’s the full recipe so you can try it out for yourself:

Habanero Peach Margarita

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoon (1 ounce) Torani Puremade Peach Syrup
  • 4 tablespoon (2 ounces) tequila
  • 2 tablespoon (1 ounce) Grand Mariner
  • 2 tablespoon (1 ounce) lime juice
  • 1 lime
  • 1 habanero pepper
  • Chili salt (optional)
  • ice

Directions:

Rim chilled glass with lime wedge and dip into chili salt. Muddle a slice of habanero in glass and add ice. Add all other ingredients and stir well. Garnish with lime wheel.

Torani

If you can’t find Torani’s peach syrup near you, you can instead try making your own. This recipe from Simply Happy Foodie calls for just three ingredients: peaches, sugar and water.

All you’ll do is mix the ingredients together into a pan and cook them on a simmer. You can then keep the syrup in your fridge for up to two weeks so you can make the margarita or any other peach-flavored drinks multiple times.

Not a fan of peach, but want to add some spice to your next cocktail? How about a spicy pink lemonade? Made with Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey and pink lemonade, it looks like the perfect summer treat!

If you want something even easier that you don’t have to make yourself, Frank’s Red Hot now makes a canned bloody mary. The pre-mixed cocktails are flavored with Frank’s RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce. The ABV is 5.5% for a 12-ounce can, so there’s no need to add more liquor, but you can jazz them up by pouring them in a glass and adding celery, olives, pickles, peppers or bacon.
