After giving away more than 2.5 million doughnuts since beginning their vaccination campaign in March, Krispy Kreme is now sweetening their giveaway by offering two free doughnuts to anyone who shows proof of their COVID-19 vaccination.

If you’ve received at least one vaccination shot, you can get two free doughnuts any time, every day Aug. 30 – Sept. 5. The weeklong “Show Your Heart” offer includes one original glazed doughnut plus an original glazed heart doughnut.

To get your free doughnuts, simply show your vaccination card in person at the counter or drive-thru. It will need to be your card, so you won’t be able to grab friends’ and family members’ cards and do the doughnut run for them.

Krispy Kreme’s original campaign of one original glazed doughnut each day to anyone who has received at least one vaccination will resume Sept. 6 and continue for the rest of the year.

Along with the free doughnuts to vaccinated customers, Krispy Kreme gave away more than 30 million doughnuts to healthcare workers, first responders, teachers, coaches, graduating seniors, neighbors and others in 2020. They also delivered free dozens of doughnuts to vaccination centers throughout the country.

“We all hoped we’d be near the end of this pandemic by now. We’re not. So, please consider getting vaccinated if you’ve not done so already. And then enjoy and share two amazing doughnuts with our heart-felt thanks,” chief marketing officer Dave Skena said in a press release.

The deal new comes after the FDA granted full approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for people ages 16 and older in the U.S.

It is the first COVID vaccine fully approved by the FDA, though it is still approved under emergency use for 12- to 15-year-olds. A third booster dose has also been approved under emergency use for some immunocompromised individuals.

Will you be heading to your local Krispy Kreme with your COVID-19 vaccination card?
