You know, there was a ton of stuff going on downtown this weekend. One of those things was the inaugural 'Project Pabst Denver' music festival.
There were veteran bands like 'Violent Femmes,' L.A. Band 'Best Coast,' rapper and producer 'Big K.R.I.T.,' Canadian hard rockers 'Metz,' and Denver's own 'Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats' plus many, many more!
I guess you can say this was a block party at it's best.
Larimer Street was blocked off from 27th to 28th and filled in with two big stages (Captain Pabst and Laser Horse) on each side for the main acts and the Larimer Lounge, Meadowlark Kitchen, Cold Crush and Nocturne stages -- or bars in this case -- for the smaller acts in between. They even had the Meadowlark Bar for some great comedy acts.
I have to say for a first-time festival like this, everything ran pretty smoothly. People looked to be having a great time and easily could maneuver from stage to stage without spilling too much of their beer! I don't know about everybody else, but I'll be back next year for sure!
