Free Day at Denver Zoo

What: With spring-like temps on deck for Thursday, it will be the perfect day to spend enjoying all that the Denver Zoo has to offer, for free.

The Colorado Environmental Film Festival

What: In the true spirit of Colorado, this film festival that will inspire, surprise, motivate, entertain, and transform attendees.  Screenings of local and national feature length and short films, will explore interconnected ecological, social and economic themes.  Catch a film or two, engage in thought-provoking discussions, listen in on a filmmaker’s forum, or visit with a variety of environmental groups.  It’s a film festival for all ages.

Colorado Garden & Home Show

What:  Planning to remodel, update or simply need help finishing your honey-do list?  This is your one-stop-shop, your chance to visit with over 650 companies ready to introduce new technologies and trends in home improvements and landscaping.  Get lost in one of the inspiring garden oasis, full of rich color and fragrance.  Check out the Hot Products Zone displaying all the must-have gadgets for your home and lawn.  Attend one of the free seminars and how-do demonstrations.  There will be no excuses after attending this show.

Denver Golf Expo

Celestial Seasonings Factory Tour

What: Did you know you can tour Colorado’s very own Celestial Seasonings Factory for free?  Factory tours run every hour Monday through Sunday.  And every tour includes a whiff of the Mint Room, guaranteed to clear any stuffy nose.  Afterwards, be sure to visit the sampling bar with over 100 kinds of tea to taste.  Note that kids must be at least 5 years old to tour the factory floor.

CU Wizards: Energy and Oxidation

What: Join CU Professors for an entertaining and informative show that features lively explanations packed with explosions, implosions, electrolysis and more. These free, monthly interactive shows are geared towards children and teens in grades 1 and up, but all ages are welcome.

Battle on Blake

What:  It’s ice hockey on the baseball diamond.  Coors Field will play host to the Battle on Blake as the Denver Pioneers face off against their rival Colorado College Tigers this Saturday night.
