Harvest Farm Fall Festival & Corn Maze

What:  Get lost in the 10-acre corn maze at Harvest Farm.  And afterwards enjoy a multitude of family-friendly attractions including the hay bale maze, pig races, hay wagon rides, petting zoo, corn box wagons, corn cannons, pumpkin smash, evening campfires, food trucks, kettle corn and more.  It will be a full day of fun for the whole family.

Where: Harvest Farm, 4240 E. Country Road 66, Wellington, Colo.

When:  Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday: 12 noon-6 p.m.  (Weekends through Oct. 30th)

Admission: $15 – Adults; $13 – Kids 4-12 years; Kids 3 years and under are free.

Snowboard on the Block

What:  With snow starting to fall in the mountains, this high-altitude festival will get you pumped for the upcoming season on the slopes.  Bigger and better than last year, Snowboard on the Block will feature a 3-story pro rail jam (with real snow), ski film premieres on a giant outdoor screen, live music and a pop-up retail area filled with tons of gear to outfit you for the winter.  Plus giveaways, pro athlete appearances and more.

Where:  Sculpture Park, Denver Performing Arts Complex, 1400 Curtis Street, Denver, Colo.

When: Friday: 5 p.m.-10 p.m. and Saturday: 1 p.m.-10 p.m.

Bug-A-Boo

What:  It’s Halloween at the Butterfly Pavilion this weekend.  Come dressed in your Halloween costume and enjoy indoor trick-or-treating, creepy crawly activities and crafts, and special character guest appearances throughout the weekend.

When:  Saturday & Sunday: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Choctoberfest 2016

What: Chocoholics rejoice!  This is the event for you!  Indulge yourself with decadent delights from truffles and toffee, to cakes and cookies, to chocolate-infused wine and beer.  Featuring the best chocolatiers and vendors from the Rocky Mountain region, it will be a true chocolate haven.

Arapahoe County Fall Festival

What: Come celebrate a piece of Colorado’s history at the Fall Festival at the 17 Mile House Farm Park.  Pick out a pumpkin, take a hayride, pan for gold, tour the farmhouse, and even milk Bessie the cow and meet the rest of her barnyard friends.  Plus, enjoy live music and food from local food trucks.  It will be fun for the whole family.

Free Day at Denver Firefighters Museum

What: In honor of National Fire Safety and Prevention Week, enjoy a free day at the Denver Firefighters Museum.  Free admission all day includes hands-on fire safety activities and your chance to talk with real firefighters.

Harvest Festival

What:  This Saturday, it’s Castle Rock who will host a Harvest Festival.  And not only will you be able to find that perfect pumpkin at this event, but you can also carve it on-site!  Plus face painting, crafts, food and local craft beer.  Stay through the evening to see the Great Pumpkin Wall lighting and watch an outdoor showing of the animated classic “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!”     

Where: Festival Park, 300 2nd Street, Castle Rock, Colo.

When:  Saturday: 2 p.m.-8 p.m. (Pumpkin Wall lighting at 6:30 p.m., followed by movie at 6:40 p.m.) 

Admission: Free (Pumpkins will cost about $5 each.)
