Orchid Showcase

What: Valentine’s Day is next week, so why not celebrate early with this fragrant outing.  Explore a floral wonderland at the Denver Botanic Gardens’ annual Orchid Showcase.  You’ll smell the love in the air from the hundreds of orchid blooms spread among the fragrant citrus collections in the Orangery and Marnie’s Pavilion. 

Where:  Denver Botanic Gardens, 1007 York Street, Denver, Colo.

When: Daily: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.  (Exhibit runs through Feb. 20th)

Admission: General Admission: $12.50 – Adults; $9 – Kids 3-15 years old (Members and kids 2 years and under are free.)

Colorado Garden & Home Show

What:  It’s the final weekend.  So if you are planning to remodel, update or simply need help finishing your honey-do list, this is your chance to visit with over 650 companies ready to introduce new technologies and trends in home improvements and landscaping.  Get lost in one of the inspiring garden oasis, full of rich color and fragrance.  Check out the Hot Products Zone displaying all the must-have gadgets for your home and lawn.  Attend one of the free seminars and how-do demonstrations.  There will be no excuses after attending this show.  

Where: Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th Street, Denver, Colo.

When: Thursday: 12 p.m.-7 p.m.; Friday: 12 p.m.-8 p.m.; Saturday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sunday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Admission:  $12 – Adults; $10 – Seniors; Kids 12 years and under are free. (Get 2 for 1 admission on Thursday.)

Loveland Fire & Ice Festival

What: The nation’s Sweetheart City is lighting the town this Valentine’s Day weekend.   This family-friendly celebration will feature street vendors, a mini carnival, live music and entertainment, and a valentine-inspired light and firework show to end each night.  Watch as ice blocks are transformed into works of art during the live sculpting competition, take your special someone on a romantic carriage ride, or take advantage of the numerous deals offered by local retailers.

Where: Downtown Loveland, Along 4th Street between Garfield Avenue and Jefferson Avenue, Loveland, Colo.

When: Friday: 5 p.m.-10 p.m.; Saturday: 10 a.m.-10 p.m.; and Sunday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Monster Jam 2017

What: Witness breathtaking stunts and awesome power at Monster Jam 2017.   Fan favorites including Grave Digger, El Toro Loco, and Monster Mutt Dalmatian will bring you to your feet as they race and rip up the custom-designed track full of obstacles to soar over, or smash through.

$5 Day at Butterfly Pavilion

What:  Enjoy all that the Butterfly Pavilion has to offer for just $5 general admission on Saturday.  Journey through the new and improved Crawl-a-See-Em, hold Rosie the tarantula, touch a starfish, and take a stroll through the rainforest with 1,600 butterflies fluttering about.

Burn Awareness Day at Denver Firefighters Museum

What: Keep your family safe and get educated about fire safety.  Free admission all day, includes fire safety activities, the Denver Fire Department’s Fire Safety Trailer, and your chance to talk with real firefighters.
