Ruby Hill Rail Yard
What: Why fight I-70 traffic when you can ski and ride for free here in town? The Ruby Hill Rail Yard is open for a 10th season. This popular urban terrain park is equipped with several rails and boxes great for all ability levels. Free rental equipment for youth ages 8 to 17 is also available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, provided courtesy of Christy Sports. Check website for equipment hours. And don’t forget to wear your helmet!

Rocky Mountain Mardi Gras in Parker
What: Mardi Gras falls early this year, and you can start your celebration in downtown Parker this weekend. This 3-day event kicks off with a scavenger hunt and pub crawl on Friday. The party continues into Saturday with what organizers hope to become the largest Marching Sidewalk Band in the state. Be sure to pop into local restaurants for some Cajun food throughout the weekend.
