Now that the holidays are officially over, it’s time to trade all things peppermint for pink and heart-shaped desserts to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
This year, Dairy Queen is bringing back one of its celebratory treats for the February Blizzard of the Month: Red Velvet Cake. Available in mini, small, medium or large, the Blizzard combines DQ’s vanilla soft serve ice cream with red velvet cake pieces and cream cheese icing. Red velvet cake is a classic treat for Valentine’s Day and this DQ spin on it makes it perfect for anyone who prefers ice cream to cake.
Dairy Queen will again offer a heart-shaped Cupid Cake for Valentine’s Day this year, too, which features three different layers, including a layer of the blended Blizzard treat.
The bottom layer is vanilla soft serve, followed by a center layer of red velvet cake pieces, topped with a layer of the Red Velvet Cake Blizzard. Made to serve two to four people, it is also decorated with icing and sprinkles.
Of course, dessert is just one part of making Valentine’s Day special. Aside from the standard chocolate and roses, there are plenty of other gifts to give this year, like an adorable heart-shaped waffle maker or heart-shaped hot cocoa bombs. You can even make some tasty treats yourself, like this vanilla strawberry heart cake.
Bath & Body Works has plenty of products that would make excellent Valentine’s Day — or Galentine’s Day! — gifts for a loved one or friend.
Pick up a lovey-dovey 3-wick candle in scents like Bubbly Rosé, Raspberries and Whipped Vanilla or Pink Prosecco Frosting. Or choose a new lotion in a romantic fragrance like You’re the One, which is a blend of woodsy scents, rose and a hint of strawberry. There are also some hand soaps that would be lovely to display around Valentine’s Day, like Strawberry Pound Cake with its red-and-pink-striped label and berry-sweet scent.
Are you looking forward to celebrating Valentine’s Day with some treats and sweets?
