Chip Gaines Asks Fans To Spread Kindness With These Downloadable Flyers

Chip and Joanna Gaines have shown their kind natures on more than one occasion. Not only have they created dream homes for others, but the Gaineses also opened up their Magnolia Market Silos to a church that was forced to relocate due to highway construction, helped rebuild homes damaged from hurricanes and much more.

Now, the compassionate duo is asking that you show someone in your life a little kindness, too.

It doesn’t have to be some grand gesture — like rebuilding someone’s home — because the Gaineses believe small acts of kindness go a long way.

Chip recently wrote a post on the Magnolia blog asking his fans to spread kindness throughout their local communities, schools and wherever else they see fit.

He’s made it easy, too. Start by printing a downloadable flyer he created and then watch the kind deeds begin to spread.

“The way I see it, how we choose to interact with our neighbors, our coworkers, the people online, the check-out clerk at the grocery store, and even the person who mindlessly cuts us off in traffic has a profound effect on how others will choose to interact with us,” he wrote. “Because here’s the other thing I believe about kindness: It’s contagious.”

He believes hanging these flyers will be a great start to sharing the kindness that so many people need in their lives:

The flyers contain various suggestions for kind deeds that are designed to be cut into strips and torn off one by one. That way, people who see the flyer can take the suggestion that resonates with them, and then perform that deed.

You could choose from kind acts such as “bring coffee or snacks to a first responder,” “mow a neighbor’s lawn” or “send flowers to someone just because.”

The Gaines also made a version that’s perfect for practicing kindness with your kids and another that allows you to fill in the blanks for yourself.

The version for the kiddos includes deeds such as “make a new friend today,” “sit by a new kid at lunch” and “find a pen pal and write them a letter.”

These flyers can be downloaded straight from the Magnolia website, printed and hung up wherever you’d like. The Gaines also ask that you post to social media with the hashtag “#makeKINDNESSloud” in the caption.

The Gaines aren’t the only folks asking for a little extra bit of kindness lately. Pink recently issued an “internet challenge” asking that people go one day without criticizing someone online — because kind deeds go a long way on the internet, too.

With your help, this whole “be kind to others” idea could really take off!

So, who’s ready to spread some kindness today?
