DENVER — Sunny skies and comfortable conditions have been the rule over Colorado. Highs only reached the mid-to upper 70s in the Denver area and over much of northeastern Colorado.

Western Colorado was hotter, with highs around 90 degrees in Grand Junction. The hotter weather will move to the east for Wednesday with highs back to around 90 degrees in Denver.

The air over our state is pretty dry, so rain chances are low for another couple of days. The lower humidity does mean that nighttime lows will be cool in the high country - lows in the upper 30s to low 40s and comfortable on the plains, with middle 50s.

Scattered thunderstorms will return for Friday and Saturday with highs in the middle 80s.

Sunday and Labor Day Monday will be hot and dry, with low 90s in store for the Denver area.
