Cookie dough lovers, get in your cars right now — Sonic is topping sundaes and milkshakes with huge scoops of it!
The Big Scoop Cookie Dough Sundae has the pieces of edible cookie dough on top of vanilla ice cream and contains caramel sauce. The Big Scoop Cookie Dough Blast has Sonic’s Real Ice Cream with chocolate chip cookie dough pieces blended inside.
“The Big Scoop Cookie Dough Blast and Sundae are just what cookie dough lovers have been dreaming of,” said Scott Uehlein, Sonic’s vice president of product innovation and development, in a press release this week.
The Big Scoop Cookie Dough Sundae costs $2.99. The Big Scoop Cookie Dough Blast is priced at 50 cents above the regular Sonic Blast cost (based upon size).
“For too long, we’ve been told not to eat the cookie dough, but our delicious, edible chocolate chip cookie dough is combined with our rich and creamy real ice cream for a dessert that is both familiar and original,” Uehlein said.
Sonic is no stranger to creative collaborations. In July 2019, Sonic released a new line of mocktail slushes, and one of them was infused with the world’s hottest pepper — the Carolina Reaper!
The Reaper Spicy Margarita and other non-alcoholic slushies inspired by cocktails were only around through Aug. 4. The other flavors included Strawberry Daiquiri and Piña Colada. Here’s hoping to seeing them again next year!
The company has also offered treats like the Red Bull Slush, a limited-time drink which is still available at participating locations. Here’s a Twitter post all about it:

Don’t forget if you’re headed to Sonic for a beverage, the drive-in restaurant also has Happy Hour from 2-4 p.m. daily. That means the Red Bull Slushes are half price!

Happy Hour discounts are on all Sonic drinks, slushes and corn dogs (which are 99 cents each during that time). And if you order ahead of time using Sonic’s app, drinks and slushes are half-price all day! (Downloading the app now.)
Additionally, every Tuesday night is Family Night, and that means half-price cheeseburgers! This deal is from 5 p.m. until close and is good on a single-patty cheeseburger.
