PARKER, Colo. – A wildfire briefly threatened several homes in Parker Wednesday afternoon off Inspiration and Antelope Trail, but was quickly put down by firefighters.
The two-alarm fire sparked in brush and quickly moved near trees that surrounded several homes, eventually growing to 3 acres.
Several crews from Douglas County and other nearby fire agencies responded to the scene and were able to get the fire fully contained within an hour.
There were no structures damaged or injuries reported in the fire, but power is out in the area, according to South Metro Fire and Rescue.
People are asked to stay clear of the area in order to allow access to emergency fire vehicles.
