AURORA, Colo. – The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office identified the 12-year-old girl who died after she was hit by a car on Feb. 5 on Iliff Ave. near the intersection with S. Vaughn Way.
Forensic pathologist Casey Bitting identified the girl as Jenna Solomon and said she died as a result of the injuries she suffered when she was hit by a truck that morning at 8:20 a.m.
Aurora police said the driver remained at the scene of the crash and was cooperating with the investigation. Police said the girl did not use the crosswalk to cross the street and likely ran into traffic.
