GOLDEN, Colo. — A victim was taken to a hospital after being rescued from Clear Creek in Golden on Tuesday evening.
Jefferson County authorities initially said the victim had drowned, but "a faint pulse was detected" and the person was taken to a hospital, according to the sheriff's office.
The victim was believed to have been in the water for more than a mile without a flotation device.
Jefferson County Sheriff deputies were at the scene of the rescue shortly before 9 p.m. The right lane of Highway 93 was shut down at Highway 6 and Highway 58, as deputies investigated.
