GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — The Colorado Department of Transportation says it may open Glenwood Springs' new bridge to traffic 10 days ahead of schedule depending on the weather.
The Post Independent reports the department is hoping to open the bridge by late Monday or early Tuesday before the morning rush hours hits.
An exact time has not been determined.
Project Public Information Manager Tom Newland says all four lanes on the bridge could be opened if there is no rain.
With an 80 percent chance of rain through the weekend and into Monday, it's not clear if that will be possible.
Newland says if the weather does take a turn, only three lanes will be opened as previously planned.
