FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Three men were arrested Monday in connection with a burglary and shooting that took place in Fort Collins back in June.

The three men, all Fort Collins residents according to police, reportedly tried to burglarize a home in the early morning hours of June 30.

During the burglary, the suspects were confronted by three residents inside the home and a fight ensued. Police say the suspects physically assaulted a man and a woman, and also shot a juvenile whom they knew.

The shooting victim was taken to a hospital and managed to survive.

The suspects were identified by Fort Collins Police Services as Akiile Jones, 20; Anthony Davis, 20; and 18-year-old D’Sean Fanning.

Police said Jones was arrested in Fort Collins, Davis was arrested in Damascus, Maryland with the help of US Marshals; and Fanning was arrested in Burns, Wyoming, with the help of the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office.

All three are facing first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, attempted aggravated robbery, and burglary charges.

Police said drugs are believed to be a factor in the burglary and shooting.
